Rimbey is an active center for the agricultural and oil field industry. Rimbey is ideally located between Red Deer and Edmonton and has a trading area of about 15,000 population. Highways 53 and 20 with several secondary roads leading to Rimbey and the Highway 2 corridor just 30 minutes away. The population of Rimbey (~2500) provides both a ready market and a stable labour supply. Rimbey has over 100 businesses to serve your every need.
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS
To accommodate new development, there is an ample supply of residential lots available. Even with its proximity to larger centers, land prices have remained reasonable and affordable. The town continues to progress with total live property tax assessments in excess of 230,000,000. Development permits issued for 2008 exceeded 12.9 million with 24 new housing starts making Rimbey one of the fastest growing communities in Alberta.

Notice of Discretionary Development Permits Approved
The Town of Rimbey Land-Use Bylaw provides that any person claiming to be affected by a decision of the Development Officer may appeal by serving written notice to the Town of Rimbey within twenty-one (21) days after notice of the decision is given.
